This package includes the renowned Serengeti, the Crown Jewel of Tanzania. Your visit would start at Tarangire National Park, which has the rare distinction of being populated by animals throughout the year including summer. The park has large herds of elephants, zebras, elands, wildebeest and waterbucks. Horne to the famous Baobab trees of Africa It has almost 450 species of birds. About 160 km away, Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offers a breath-taking view of a rare blue-green hued vegetation around its 19km wide crater with lions, elephants, rhinos, zebras and plain herbivores. You stop at the famous Serengeti National Park spread over 1.5 million hectares and is the starting point of the annual Great Migration of 1.5 million animals to Maasai Mara. Serengeti NP houses the Big 5 (lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard and rhino), hippos, crocodiles and wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, gazelles in thousands along with hundreds of bird-species, lending it the epithet of `The Last Eden’.


DAY 1

ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO NATRON PALACE HOTEL

We start with Meet and Greet at Kilimanjaro Airport on your arrival, post a quick briefing session to acclimatize you with this beautiful place and then drive you to your hotel for the overnight stay.

DAY 2

DRIVE TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

In the morning at 8.00am, our representative receives you at the Natron Palace Hotel, followed by a brief introduction we proceed for transfer to Tarangire National Park. Exploring Tarangire Park which derives its name from the Tarangire River that transverses within the park. The park gives support to many types of animals especially during the dry season when animals migrate from the dry lands in search of greener pastures Animals easy to spot include wildebeest, zebra, eland, elephant, buffalo, hartebeest and others. After The game drives, we transfer you to the lodge for Dinner and rest.

DAY 3

DRIVE TO LAKE MANYARA

After breakfast you depart to Lake Manyara where you enjoy hot lunch at the lodge. This is followed by a game drive in Lake Manyara, a small breathtaking National Park with immense natural richness and a home to over 380 bird species, including thousands of flamingos that tint the soda waters of the lake pink and famous tree-climbing lions, who sleep on the branches of acacia trees. As we touch the evening, we proceed towards the lodge for check in and dinner.

DAY 4

LAKE MANYARA + TRANSFER TO SERENGETI + LATE AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE

Sunrise game drive to the open grassland sides of lake Manyara National, searching for high population of ungulates grazing along the shorelines of soda lake. Later on game drives to the acacia woodland searching for inquisitive giraffes, elephant herds and tree climbing lions. 10am we depart Lake Manyara followed by early afternoon drive to Serengeti NP enroute the Ngorongoro Crater rim. Picnic lunch at 1.00pm. We arrive at central Serengeti at 3.00pm for an exciting game drive exploring its residents such as herds of wildebeest, elephants, giraffe, zebra, antelope. We continue our search for cheetah on hunt or lions feasting on prey and other predators. As the sun sets you are driven to the lodge.

DAY 5

SERENGETI + NGORONGORO CRATER RIM

After an early breakfast drive to the Serengeti plains. Take a short stop at Olduvai gorge, the `cradle of mankind’. Continue across the plains stopping for picnic lunch under the acacia trees as you take in the vastness of these grassland plains dotted with granite kopjes. Serengeti National Park is arguably the most famous game park on earth. More than 3 million animals share this ecosystem. It is possible to see the Big 5, cheetah, giraffe, hippopotamus, numerous species of antelopes, gazelle, over 500 species of birds. We depart late afternoon for a drive enroute Ngorongoro rim. We arrive at your crater rim camp in the early evening in time to appreciate an African sunset.

DAY 6

NGORONGORO CRATER TOUR + TRANSFER TO ARUSHA

Breakfast at 630am followed by drive to Seneto Descent Ranger Post on the western side of the crater rim. Descend about 610 metres to the crater floor for a world class game viewing. The residents include zebra, bufallo, wildebeest, lions, elusive leopards, hippo, elephants, gazelle antelope, flamingo etc. After the tour you would ascend and drive back to Loduare exit gate for a transfer to Arusha.
