You visit Tarangire National Park, which, thanks to Tarangire river has the rare distinction of being populated by animals throughout the year. Even in the peak of summer the park has large herds of elephants, zebras, elands, wildebeest and waterbucks. Horne to the famous Baobab trees of Africa it has almost 450 species of birds. Next to it, Lake Manyara National Park is an alkaline lake that plays host to millions of flamingos and other birds. The rare tree climbing lions and blue monkeys inhabit this Park in addition to almost all the big animals. About 160 km away, Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offers a breath-taking view of a rare blue-green hued vegetation around its 19krn wide crater. It has lions, elephants, rhinos, zebras and plain herbivores.


DAY 1

ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO NATRON PALACE HOTEL

We start with Meet and Greet at Kilimanjaro Airport on your arrival, post a quick briefing session to acclimatize you with this beautiful place and then drive you to your hotel for the overnight stay.

DAY 2

DRIVE TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

In the morning at 8.00am, our representative receives you at the Natron Palace Hotel, followed by a brief introduction we proceed for transfer to Tarangire National Park. Exploring Tarangire Park which derives its name from the Tarangire River that transverses within the park. The park gives support to many types of animals especially during the dry season when animals migrate from the dry lands in search of greener pastures Animals easy to spot include wildebeest, zebra, eland, elephant, buffalo, hartebeest and others. After The game drives, we transfer you to the lodge for Dinner and rest.

DAY 3

DRIVE TO LAKE MANYARA

After breakfast you depart to Lake Manyara where you enjoy hot lunch at the lodge. This is followed by a game drive in Lake Manyara, a small breathtaking National Park with immense natural richness and a home to over 380 bird species, including thousands of flamingos that tint the soda waters of the lake pink and famous tree-climbing lions, who sleep on the branches of acacia trees. As we touch the evening, we proceed towards the lodge for check in and dinner.

DAY 4

LAKE MANYARA +TRANSFER TO OVER 2000M ALTITUDE NGORONGORO CRATER RIM

Sunrise game drive to the open grassland sides of lake Manyara National, searching for high population of ungulates grazing along the shorelines of soda lake. Later on game drives to the acacia woodland searching for inquisitive giraffes, elephant herds and tree climbing lions. Picnic lunch box followed by late afternoon drive to the Ngorongoro Crater Loudare entry gate about 90 minutes drive.

DAY 5

NGORONGORO CRATER TOUR + TRANSFER TO ARUSHA

5.30am morning breakfast followed by an hour drive to the crater floor to see the breath-taking huge unbroken, unflooded caldera which is home to Tanzania’s only remaining black rhino population. Other animals which are easy to spot include bufallo, wildebeest, lion prides in utter relaxation, elusive leopards, hippo, elephant, gazelle antelope, flamingos and other water birds. After the crater tour, we ascend back to the crater rim followed by the drive to exit Loudare gate for transfer to Arusha.
