Every year thousands of tourists from across the world visit Uganda, also known as the pearl of Africa, to watch mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Considered one of the most thrilling wildlife experience where you watch these huge primates from metres away and hang around for about an hour. The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Africa’s most ancient rain forest, is one of the best place to watch gorillas.

The fragile eco-system of the Gorilla’s habitat is preserved by regulating the number of tourists tracking gorillas. Once you have been issued a permit it would enable you to join a tracking group and you are assured of meeting a gorilla family. You would have the lifetime experience of watching a silverback spending time with its infants and harem of wives.

DAY 1

Arrival And Transfer To Hotel

On arrival at Entebbe, you will be received and welcomed by our representative who would brief you on the details of the trip. After the short briefing, you will be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable forest the home of the mountain gorillas. On arrival, you will have dinner and rest for the next day’s activities.

DAY 2

Gorilla Tracking Day

After your sumptuous breakfast, you will be transferred to the briefing point where you will be assigned a gorilla family and given instructions on what to do and what not to do while you are tracking. In the course of your trek, you will have the chance to encounter the mountain gorillas, see their day-to-day life, and how they play feed, and live with each other in their natural habitat. You will take at least 3 hours in the forest doing the tracking and this duration is all dependent on the location of your gorilla family that was assigned while you were starting the day. you will have a packed lunch which you will eat while you are in the forest and later when you return from there you will get a chance to interact with the Batwa ‘Pygmy’ community.

DAY 3

Departure

After your breakfast you would be transferred to Entebbe to catch your flight back home. Lunch will be en route to Entebbe somewhere at the ‘equator’ hence you will have a chance to view the equator too.

It is a fort that was built by the Germans in the 1900s and subsequently taken over by the British. It houses the NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM wherein you get to see a large collection of stuffed animals, enlighten yourself on the rich natural flora and fauna of Tanzania and also learn of Arusha’s colonial history.
